the Oasis difference

At Oasis, we put patients first and believe that our patients deserve the best when it comes to dental care. We are committed to becoming the leading provider of NHS, private and specialist dentistry throughout the UK. We operate 200 practices throughout England, Wales and Northern Ireland and in all of our practices we offer both NHS and private services. We also have a network of specialist clinicians who are able to offer orthodontic, endodontic, periodontic, prosthodontic  and oral surgery services. Since we provide patient care across all types of dentistry and work with 700 dentists who see almost 2 million patients each year in our practices, we believe we are uniquely placed to deliver a great dental service, as well as to comment on, and influence, the future of dentistry in the UK.

We believe that every patient is different and within our 200 practices throughout England, Wales and Northern Ireland we work with each patient individually to build a programme of care to ensure they'll have healthy teeth and gums and that will reduce their long-term need for dental treatment. Our approach is to explain, inform and involve our patients in all aspects of their dental care.

We want to ensure that dentistry continues to improve its professional standards and levels of customer service. Through the support of our network of clinical advisors, who also work closely with their local PCTs, we are able to work with our dentists to continually improve standards in our practices. We have rigorous recruitment standards and all of our practices are audited by an independent third-party, who advise any changes we may need to make to our working practice and dental services.

All of our clinical staff undertake training on a regular basis - collectively our staff undertook in excess of 10,000 hours of training last year.

Over the last 12 months, all of our practices have been registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and all meet the standards set for a dental practice. The CQC measures not only clinical standards, but also our approach to our customer service. Additionally, all of our practices have recently undergone a process of upgrading to ensure we meet the cross-infection prevention standards set by the Department of Health.

We work with local PCTs, the NHS and the Department of Health to improve quality and dental care throughout the UK.  Recently, we have built 9 state of the art NHS practices throughout Cumbria and 14 in Northern Ireland, areas where there has traditionally been a lack of access to NHS dentistry. We have also been selected to run 5 of the new NHS pilots at our practices in Blackpool, Bolton, Sunderland, Lincoln and East Grinstead to test improved ways of delivering dental care.

As a large organisation with over 2,000 members of staff, we are well placed to spread the good practices and ideas of our dental teams throughout our network. We hold a variety of regular regional and local meetings where this happens and hold an annual conference, where our clinicians and practice teams come together to learn about new approaches to dentistry and share thoughts and views. We regularly collect patient feedback and comment from across the UK, and use this feedback to improve our services to patients. Each year, we survey over 2,000 adults in the UK in our Dental Health Survey to understand their overall view of dentistry.

We have a Support Centre, based in Bristol, where teams of professionals are able to support our practices sourcing quality dental materials, laboratories and providing a wide range of support to each of our dental teams.

We want to be the best, to ensure our patients have access to a wide range of high quality dental services, be that NHS, private or specialist services. Our scale, national coverage, the fact that we work across NHS, private and specialist services and our dental people make us uniquely placed as a source of positive change within the UK............ that's what makes the Oasis difference!
