Bryant
Lead Dentist, Oasis Bishopston, Bristol
qualifications:
Although I work alongside the team at The Trowbridge Dental Practice as an Implant referral practitioner I am the Lead dentist for The Gloucester Road Dental Practice and the Bishopston Implant referral practitioner. I qualified in 1983 at Guys Hospital London. After qualifying I continued to work at Guys and then worked in Kingston and Canterbury carrying out maxillofacial surgery and orthodontics. I moved to Bristol and worked in the Bristol Dental hospital and then in general practice carrying out further maxillofacial surgery and restorative dentistry.
biography:
I joined Bishopson Dental Care in 1993 and got involved with implants in 1997. I developed a special interest in implantology and have become a clinical coach and mentor for Astra. As an Implantologist I take referrals from both the wider Oasis family and from up to 40 other general practice dentists in the region. I also take referrals from other implantologists where I carry out advanced implant surgery such as sinus grafts.

Nabel

DDS MSc MOrth RCS Edin

Nabel qualified as a dentist in 1996 and he then worked in both general dental practice and dental hospitals.

In 2000 he undertook three years of postgraduate orthodontic training at Guy’s Hospital. He qualified in 2003 and was awarded a Master of Science Degree and the Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh allowing him to be registered as a specialist orthodontist with the General Dental Council.

biography:

Nabel was the nominated trainer for the Orthodontic Therapist at Dentalign. He is also a member of the British Orthodontic Society.

Nabel treats patients in Woking and Wokingham.

John
Moorhouse
Implantologist, Oasis Lymm, Cheshire
qualifications:
John Moorhouse was awarded the degree of Bachelor of Dental Surgery, BDS, at Manchester University in 1978 winning the prize for Periodontology.
biography:

He has spent many years in the NHS and private practice providing the full range of skills required of the modern, forward thinking, dental practitioner.

He has worked extensively abroad establishing dental clinics in Zaire, Thailand and Malawi. He was the lecturer in oral health for the school of Medicine in the University of Malawi and has published several research papers on oral health and health education. He was awarded a Diploma in Dental Health for Educators, DDH, in Dublin in 1989 winning the Presidents prize.

He was awarded the Diploma of Membership in the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners of the Royal College of Surgeons MFGDP, in 2001. He also gained the Diploma in Postgraduate Dental Studies, DPDS, in 2001 involving children's dentistry, denture design and provision, and the management of tooth wear. John was one of the first groups of dentists to be awarded the Diploma in Implant Dentistry and has been a tutor on the course ever since. He lectured and was a clinical tutor on the Faculty's Diploma in Restorative Dentistry course from 2005 until 2011. He was made an honorary teaching fellow in Implantology at the Manchester Dental Hospital in 2006, and lectured on their Implant MSc course until 2009.

He has been holding hands-on courses on restoring dental implants for postgraduate dentists since 2003. This has matured into a 3 day intensive course run annually in Lymm. John retired in 2008 as Director of the North-western division of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners, Royal College of Surgeons of England but retains his place on the board.

As an ITI speaker and a member of the Association of Dental Implantology, John attends National and International advanced seminars and courses to stay abreast with this rapidly developing subject.

His recent publications include a series of 6 articles published in 2011 in Dentistry magazine describing the technique of applying the All-on-4 protocol to the periodontally terminal dentition.

Kirsty
Goodchild
Dentist, Oasis West Bridgford
qualifications:
Kirsty qualified from the University of London in 1990 and very much enjoys the challenges of modern General Practice dentistry. She is always looking at ways to advance her knowledge and techniques, which in turn enable her to deliver a high level of quality care to her patients. Most recently Kirsty completed a course in cosmetic and restorative dentistry.

Kirsty works in conjunction with the Hygienist’s at the practice to maximise a preventative ethos, helping her patients to maintain their oral health.

biography:
I joined the Oasis team in March 2010 and am currently working towards an NVQ Level 3 in Dental Nursing. I am hoping to complete the course in about 1 - 2 years time

biography:
I qualified in Barcelona in 2008 and I worked there in general dentistry and oral surgery until 2010. I have now swapped sunny Barcelona for 'lovely English weather' and am very happy working at the Sutton in Ashfield practice. I am enjoying my experience in England and I am pleased to be working with such a nice team

Karen qualified in 1995 at Leeds Dental Institute and started practice life in Bristol. After 6 years she decided to move back to her family and returned to Garstang. She initially began working at Oasis Morecambe before starting at Oasis Garstang in 2003.

Karen is married with two young daughters and her out of work hobbies include tap dancing and dog walking.

biography:
I qualified as a dental hygienist in 1984, previous to this I was a dental nurse for six years. Last December I reached a milestone in my career having been qualified twenty five years. I joined the practice in 1990 and have enjoyed working within a lovely close knit team. I enjoy most of the aspects to my role as a hygienist and have built up a good rapport with my patients over the time i have worked here.

I qualified as a Dental Surgeon in 1984 at Birmingham Dental School. I worked as a junior house surgeon for a year before joining the practice in 1985.

Yung
Lam

Yung graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2002. Since then she have worked in the West Midlands providing general dentistry. Yung returned to her hometown in the East Midlands following a period of time living and working in Australia and is now working with us at the Alfreton Practice on Mondays & Tuesdays. To further enhancing her skills Yung regularly undertakes additional postgraduate training.

Yung was awarded with the Diploma of Membership of the Faculty of General Dental Practice in 2007 and is currently studying for the Certificate in Restorative Dental Practice at The Eastman Dental Institute.
