Freedom of Information Act

This is a guide to the information made available to the public from Oasis Healthcare Ltd and its subsidiary companies under the Freedom of Information Act  model publication scheme. Information covered by this scheme is only about the general dental services we provide under the National Health Service Act 2006 or the National Health Service (Wales) Act 2006.

Classes of Information

This guide outlines the classes of information that we publish, which is divided into seven categories:

The main sources of information referred to below are the Practice Information Leaflet, available at each practice and either the practice website, or the main Oasis website, www.oasisdentalcare.co.uk,  which also contains a link to each individual practice's website.

This publication scheme will be reviewed, and updated where relevant, at least annually.

Class 1: Who we are and what we do

Oasis is a leading provider of NHS and private dental care. Our dental people care for over 1.5 million patients across the UK. Established in 1996, Oasis has over 200 practices across England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Details of the senior management team and corporate structure are available on the Oasis website.

Details of our practices, dentists and the specific services that we provide, together with opening hours and staff details, are all detailed in the Practice Information Leaflet, or are available on the practice website for each of our practices.

Class 2: What we spend and how we spend it

Consolidated  financial information for our operations, including details of our income, expenditure and investment,  are included within the Annual Report and Financial statements of our parent company Duke Street Capital Oasis Holdings Limited. The latest published Annual Report and Financial statements are available on our website www.oasisdentalcare.co.uk.

Class 3: What our priorities are and how we are doing

Our priorities are detailed in the Practice Information Leaflet and on the practice websites, as well as on the main Oasis website.

The results of regular patient feedback surveys are detailed on the Oasis website.

Details of development and provision of NHS services are included in the latest published Annual Report and Financial statements referred to above.

The results of inspections carried out by the Care Quality Commission are available from the CQC website:  www.cqc.org.uk

Class 4: How we make decisions

The group operates with both commercial and clinical boards. Details of the board members and significant decisions made affecting the group operations are detailed in the latest published Annual Report and Financial statements

Class 5: Our policies and procedures

The Oasis "promise to you" policy on patient care and also our complaints procedures are included within our patient Information Leaflet

Copies of the following policies and procedures are available on request from the Practice Manager, or from the Compliance Manager at the Oasis Support Centre:

  • Equal Opportunity policy;
  • Health & Safety policy;
  • Confidentiality and Data protection policies;
  • Polices and Procedures for handling requests for information.

Class 6: Lists and Registers

There are currently no publicly available lists or registers

Class 7: The Services we offer

The Patient Information Leaflet provides details of the specific services available, opening hours, specific information for NHS patients, and complaints procedures.

NHS charges are displayed at the practice.
